Who I Am

- I am 19 years old, I've been through some rough patches that I always seem to soldier through, maybe not as bad as some people have experienced but enough that it has effected me and contributed to a lot of what I write. I am currently a Broadcast Journalism major at The University of South Carolina. This Blog is dedicated to the poetry that I write and plan to update with some of the former stuff I have written and with stuff that is to come. Hope whom ever chooses to read my works enjoys them and if you do read anything, please feel free to leave comments related to the writings and potential feelings the may invoke. Some of the images I use are not my personal images, I have just "googled" a term, and found images that resonate with something I am writing, all credit to the original artist.

Soul to Show
Loneliness has befriended me
Loneliness has defended me
Loneliness surrounds me
This loneliness astounds me
How can such a singularity be felt
How can such pain be dealt
My accomplishments have been alone
Now it's time for my soul to be shown
Growing Weary
My mind has grown weary
of this nonchalant theory
I don't know where to begin
my thoughts become more and more thin
where will today take me
only the rest of time will see....
